A Few Quotes... (for extended list, see the Quote Sheet):

Very impressed, especially with his passionate expressiveness. Quite taken with his performance.

Artistry and communication is off the scale. Really great!

The [spiky riffs & dizzying runs] held no terrors for Bryan A. Crumpler.... He had soft, rounded tone for the lyrical passages and steely precision for the hair-raising rapid sections in the first movement and sassy character for the jaunty third movement.
Music Review: Raleigh Symphony Orchestra - "Rising stars are stellar, indeed"
    The News & Observer - Tues. May 9, 2000, Section 3E
    Roy C. Dicks - Correspondent
The brilliant young clarinetist Bryan A. Crumpler ... joined Music Director Tonu Kalam and the orchestra for Copland's Clarinet Concerto, which the soloist nailed, from memory.

Lots of playing was absolutely first rate. And Crumpler astonished throughout. This young man has the gift, the spirit, and whatever other intangibles it takes to skyrocket to stardom. The crowd seemed to realize this fact, too, for it rewarded him … with a big, protracted ovation.
