So, "what is a street team?" you ask.

That's a good question! Fortunately, we have a good answer for you.

A street team is a group of volunteers - usually close friends, die-hard fans, and anyone else - who want to support you and see you rise to the very top. They are motivated to help you sell CDs, increase your fanbase, and enhance your present stature as an artist. In a nutshell, they are there to help move you up a few rungs on that success ladder "just because"!

If you haven't read it somewhere on this site already - and we'll be surprised if you haven't - Bryan acknowledges that much of his success is attributed to loyal fans who offer to help advance his career. So what can you do to help?

So, what does the street team do?

By joining the street team, you help to promote Bryan as best you can and as often as you can. In essence, you get the word out... effectively... and creatively... to as many people as possible!

So, what does the street team NOT do?

  • They do NOT harrass people on the street
  • They do NOT nag people who have no interest in clarinet or classical music to buy Bryan's CD
  • They do NOT spam random email lists nor do they collect random email address for that purpose
  • They do NOT burn copies of Bryan CDs for other people (don't even think about it)
  • They do NOT vandalize property (such as painting graffiti to promote Bryan)
  • They do NOT gossip and talk trash about Bryan
  • They do NOT try to negotiate deals for Bryan unbeknownced to him and then try to swindle him into paying you hundreds of dollars for the referral
  • They do NOT trick or deceive people or tell them false information to promote Bryan

This is a volunteer promotional organization of people who are PUMPED and DEDICATED to getting the word out in the corniest, goofiest, strangest, most creative ways possible to bring attention to Bryan just because they love what he can do with the clarinet. If you think all you have to do is just hand out a few flyers here and there and maybe tell a friend or two, you're wrong. You can do that without being a member of the street team.

THIS IS NOT A FAN CLUB. Fan clubs are groups that you PAY to be a member of to get stuff like autographed merchandise, concert announcements before everybody else, exclusive photos, discount tickets etc.

THIS IS NOT A SPAM CLUB. If all you plan to do to promote the work of Bryan is send out e-mail forwards to loads of random people that you don't know, sorry... we don't want you. Spam & unsollicited mail from people you don't know is annoying and you know it, so we don't want people doing that to others. On the other hand, if these are people in your address book or members of an email list or discussion group that you actively participate in, fine, feel free.

Being on the street team is a tough job, and you have to be on top of your game in doing so. GETTING on the street team is no cakewalk either. If you can show a genuine interest in getting the word out, then you're the person we want.

So, what do I have to do to get on the street team?

Reading this entire page is the first step. If you looked at this and said, "Oh that's too much readin'", back out NOW. Members of the street team who get promotional materials will have to read instructions, read them carefully, and hit the town to execute whatever is given on the instructions. If you're annoyed by instructions and following through with them, you'll be better off just circulating emails to friends and telling people about Bryan via word of mouth. This also applies if you work two jobs, do homework all day, are a homebody that rarely goes out or do anything that would prevent you from getting out on the town to promote. If all of your ideas seem like something you can do from home, the street team is not for you.

So, why are you so exclusive? Seems to me you would want as many people as possible workin' on the street team

You're exactly right... We would LOVE to have all of North America, Iceland, Australia, and China out hitting the streets... BUT..... it costs us a lot of money!!!! We pay lots of money to manufacture and duplicate promotional material of behalf of Bryan. We do NOT want to waste our money sending costly business cards, CDs, posters or any other promo materials to people who are just going to keep them at home and hand out 1 or 2 to the friend that comes over. That's a waste of resources. We need people running to the library and slipping inserts in the middle of books. We need people going to the mall and slipping business cards under every windshield. If making a crop circle of the name "Bryan Crumpler" on your farm and then reporting it to the news (who are undoubtedly going to ask "Who's that guy?") sounds like a promotional idea that you'd do, then YOU are who we want.

OK OK OK.... So, now, back to my question... What do I have to do to get on the street team?

If you want to join the street-team, send an email from your personal account to streetteam@whosthatguy.com with ALL of the following information and ALL of the questions answered.
